Oriana Ikomo is a Brussels-based artist. Trained as a jazz vocalist and pianist, she has developed a musical language through a constant dialogue between jazz, R&B, soul and electronic music. Today, her sound lives somewhere between neo-soul and electronic soul: groovy, bold and emotionally charged, combining a powerful voice with rich productions and a strong sense of rhythm.
Her musical journey began with a deep grounding in jazz and piano, but has continuously expanded beyond genre boundaries. In 2022, she released her debut EP THE LOVE I HAD, an exploration of love in its many forms. In 2024, she followed with THE HEALING via Sdban Records, a deeply personal collection of songs exploring growth, resilience, self-discovery and self-love. Across both projects, Oriana developed an eclectic yet distinctive sound, drawing freely from soul, R&B, gospel, jazz, pop and electronic music.
Since her early releases, Oriana's music has continued to grow more expansive and rhythm-driven. Groove and movement have become increasingly central to her sound, alongside the rawness and emotional depth of her voice. Her music balances the warmth and expressiveness of soul with the freedom and experimentation of electronic production, creating songs that invite both introspection and movement.
While music is the red thread running through her artistic practice, Oriana also works across film, performance and visual art. She has performed in a range of theatre and performance productions, composed music for film, and co-directs the music videos accompanying her own releases. Moving fluidly between concert stages, theatre and contemporary art contexts, she allows each discipline to feed into and expand her musical world.
Oriana has performed at festivals and venues including Dour Festival, Gent Jazz, Down The Rabbit Hole, Botanique, De Roma and Beursschouwburg, and has shared the stage with artists including Pip Millett, Meskerem Mees, Asa and Sylvie Kreusch. She was a finalist in Studio Brussel's De Nieuwe Lichting 2023 and a laureate of Sound Track 2024–25.
